Who killed Lizzie Borden’s
parents? On a hot August morning in 1892, the Borden house was locked. The maid was outside washing windows. Emma Borden,
Lizzie’s sister, was out visiting friends. Lizzie was the only one in the house. Yet, when both her parents were found
hacked to death… Lizzie was found "not guilty". Join us in 2004 as we recreate some of the events that led up
to the murder of Mr. and Mrs. Borden.
Enjoy a delicious, authentic Victorian Dinner while participating
in this interactive dinner theater event with our actors, judge and attorneys as we revisit the events of this unsolved murder
mystery.

On November 14, 2004,
dinner guests at the Holly
Hotel participated in an interactive dinner theater production which
recreated the events that led up to the famous murder of Lizzie Borden’s parents. These short reenactments were performed
during the dinner courses. The banquet room was divided with half of the
guests representing the defense team and the other half representing the prosecution. Working from the actual trial transcripts,
our actors recreated a shorter condensed version of the events that lead up to the murder.
The guests had fun as they interacted with the members of the cast and examined the murder scenes.
This was a night of mystery and laughter as our attorneys,
who are also stand-up comedians, called our cast members up to the witness stand. The
retrial complete with a twelve- member jury randomly selected from the dinner
guests that night, along with a judge and two actual attorneys, while using audience participation throughout the evening, determined that
Lizzie is still “not guilty” in 2004.
Each venue offers a different authentic "Victorian style"
menu.
